Summary: A recent investigation by Consular staff in the province of ___________ has added to the already serious concern about adoption fraud in Vietnam. Following the investigations, USCIS issued NOIDS (Notice of Intent to Deny) in 3 of 6 cases. Each of these NOIDS was based primarily on affidavits obtained from “child finders” – individuals who had signed Vietnamese legal documents that they had found an abandoned infant (a documentary requirement).
Post will work with CA to determine the appropriate means to notify future prospective adoptive parents about concerns in _____________.
