U.S. won’t open its gates for Eden
The McRoberts went to Vietnam in September to adopt Eden and baby girl Jordan, both of whom were abandoned in Thai Nguyen Province. …
Jordan got a visa to come to the United States, McRoberts said.
But instead of a visa for Eden, “we got a NOID ”” Notice of Intent to Deny,” he said. …
The hangup stems from discrepancies or misunderstandings due to translation of the account of the “baby finder” who located the abandoned babies, and the report by the provincial field investigator, McRoberts said. Based on the discrepancies, the visa was denied. …
“We’re one of 23 families this has happened to…”

Wow, Vietnam is at 23 so far? I think our count was off, Nicki.
HOLY COW! 23?! I wonder if that count is correct to date.
23 NOIDs?!!
The person who discloses that number is the mother.
I felt like the article itself is incredibly biased; it sounds like the ONLY information the writer received was from the family, but if that number is true – that’s huge. Is there any way we can find out which agencies received the NOIDs? I know that I’ve asked before, it’s just hard to know the number and not the agencies involved – because what do we do with a number? I’m sorry, it’s just frustrating sometimes.
The agencies involved are: These agencies PAP’s are currently under investigation by USCIS, some have been issued NOID’s
ADOPPT
CAS (Carolina Adoption)
PLAN
VCI
World Child
The agency listed in the above post is World Child
Thank you Brendan.
Brendan – where did you find out that it was these agencies? I didn’t think the US Embassy was issuing this info? That’s alot of NOIDS for this small handful of agencies? Do you also have the break down by agency?
i am going to guess that these were the ones licensed in the offending province(s)
